Thanks for the quick reply! Next question: how can I post pics of Henry for Mechele and A. to see? Can we email, or FB or...? Thanks again.

I watched the show for the first time today and found it odd that TT changed the life insurance policy, had it on him when they found his body and sent out that letter just days before his body were to be found, a coincidence, not to me. To me Mechele is innocent.

I just watched the episode on TV and really could not believe a jury would convict on ZERO physical evidence! I have been through legal hell for the past 15 years in the state of Florida where (like most states) the state attorneys' office gets tunnel vision once they get a scenario in their head and refuses to consider any other possibilities. It becomes a matter of achieving a conviction, not a matter of facts or evidence or even justice. The sentence is as ridiculous as the verdict, 99 years? I suppose the purpose of this (aside from punitive) is to keep a murderer off of the streets? Are they for real? All the while the taxpayers are burdened with the cost of housing, medical, etc. But, not many taxpayers know that prisons are a business and there is a lot of money made and many jobs created. The entire legal system needs an overhaul as the police need policing along with the state attorneys, investigators, detectives, patrolmen, etc. The United States incarcerates more of its citizens than any other country in the world. It is said that you can tell a lot about a society by the way they treat their citizens. I am embarrassed at that. I hope the state drops this waste of taxpayers’ time and money.

Zildjian, you are so right on. It is so true. To prosecutors and police it is a career. It does not matter if they KNOW a person might be innocent, it is how many wins they get for their own record. It is so unbelievably sad but true for the American Justice System. It sucks!!

And Mechele, we spent two years supporting and praying from you and you have now disappeared. It would be nice to know that you appreciate our belief in you by posting a comment now and then about how you are doing and what is happening with your case. Don't wait until you are convicted again to plead for help if you can't show your sincerity now. We believe in you; just return the favor.

You can email or write Mechele and she can answer without fear of giving the prosecutor ammunition. No matter what comment Mechele makes publicly, it will be used against her. It really is better for her to remain silent and let others speak up for her.

I'm from Sweden and I just saw an episode about this case on Swedish TV, and I am startled over the conviction. Had this taken place here in Sweden she would never had been found guilty. I hope and I pray she will walk out one day as a free woman. If not, it's a disgrace.

Thanks, Dennis! Wow, the show is being aired in Sweden! Must be a slow season for TV!! Thanks for your comment and support....we are still waiting on justice to prevail!!

After having seen the story on 48°, and having occasionally checked for updates, I'm again looking to see how all is in the Linehan world. When is the next trial; has the date yet been set?

Wow, was terribly sorry to see that Dr. Linehan filed bankruptcy(sp?); but not terribly surprised. Murder trials can be terribly pricey, especially a redo.

Hey, I'll be traveling from here in Idaho to your area in Alaska for a couple of weeks in July. If the trial is going on, I'll try to stop by. Prudence and Justice!

I can remember watching a show about Mechele's ordeal on tv as well and being shocked that a jury could convict her. I've experienced first hand, though on a smaller scale, that when the police get an idea in their heads they will do whatever they need to do to push their point. I actually had a police officer admit to me that they had no real evidence that someone close to me had done what he was accused of doing, but they were pursuing him because they had nobody else. Meanwhile, this person had been with family at the time when he was supposedly committing a theft somewhere else. I have little faith in the justice system anymore. I hope Mechele can move forward in life with her beautiful family soon, and put this whole thing behind her.
