Hi to ALL!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. Mechele is on Facebook and you can also email her at mechele9@yahoo.com. Unfortunately we are unable to post much regarding her legal status. A new trial has been set for March 2012!! Mechele is still in Anchorage and doing well. Audrey gets to spend most breaks from school with her mom, and of course Colin gets there as often as he can. I am planning a late summer or early fall trip. Thanks as always for all the love and support you guys have given us!
Hugs to all!!
Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the update. I fully understand the hiatus in news. I watch the website and ADN most days. I entertain the hope that the legal position might lead to avoiding a new trial and an end to the affair. As usual, my best wishes . Phil M (UK)

I just watched a show on Mechele's trial, and I fully support her in her appeal! I will be watching this blog for updates! Does Mechele have a personal page on facebook, or just the "free mechele group"? Best of luck!

hi this is Lorrie from Indiana. I just watched the story about Mechele on Investigation Discovery. I watch this channel a lot and many stories and many stories of murder convictions and never have i found myself sitting there believing whole heartedly that this poor woman has been wrongfully convicted of murder!!! Very curious to see if there was ever an appeal or what happened to Mechele, i started looking online and found this blog along with some things saying she was out on home detention and has a new trial. but also a video of her already dressed down in her prison clothes being taken away, so i dont know if she is awaiting another trial or not or if she is in fact incarcerated at this time. Seeing Colin herr husband so emotional was very heart breaking to me, i'm thinking gosh now heres a husband that we as women dream of, he's standing by her side and he said she called and he talked to her everyday and just seeing his love and belief in her and his passion and strength to hold on to the woman he loves was very beautiful to see. i really hope she is free at this time and that she stays out and with her husband and daughter and has her life back. again, i have never believed a convicted person innocent except her after i watched her story. Even if this comment isnt put up i just want it to get to her that i support her and i will be checking on her and wishing her and her family all the best and encourage her to just cling closely to those who love her and have faith.
sincerely, Lorrie, 25, Indiana.

Hello,
As a lawyer with almost twenty years' experience, I have to admit -- I rarely considered the consequences, pain, frustration, and anguish when the judicial system fails. No longer. I see what its failures can do, and I acknowledge that the victims (colin, Mechele, children, parents, uncles, aunts, friends) of such failures feel a pain greater than any of us can ever imagine. I am sure that the State of Alaska will never admit its failure, no matter how apparent we make it... so we have to resort to hopes and prayers that justice will finally happen for the Linehans...

I saw Mechele story on TV and I was SHOCKED she was found guilty I am so glad she won her appeal. I hope she does not have to go through the pain of another trial and is free to join her family once again .

I just saw that Mechele is going to have a new trial. I was so hoping they'd just drop it. But I totally support Mechele and wish her all the luck.

I too saw the trial unfold but I never thought for one second that there was any evidence and how can you convict someone beyond a reasonable doubt without evidence? This is the first time I went searching for a support site, she belongs at home with her loved ones. I admire her spirit, I'm a mom to a little girl and I know that must be so hard to be away. Such a long wait for her trail but justice will prevail, I have to believe that in this case. I think her family and friends are so great and you can see that they are truly genuine. Thanks for sharing your story.
