Happy Birthday Mechele!

Thanks, Mary for reminding everyone that Oct. 12th is Mechele's birthday! She does have writing material and a limited amount of books. Anything sent to her will be held until she gets out of solitary confinement. For any of you who know her, this is terribly hard on her. She loves people and not being able to be around them is very depressing . But I got a letter from her Friday and she is trying very hard to be positive. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

Hugs to everyone!
Sandy

I'm sure the goal is to get Mechele home by having a successful appeal; however, if this is not the case has any thought been bought into asking for a prison transfer? It seems like a reasonable request since the appeal process can be lengthy and the hardship placed on the family is great due to the distance of her incarceration. Also, I find it shocking that Mechele stay in solitary confinement was extended due to the "contraband" charge that was supplied to her in the hygiene kit. I can't imagine the stress the family is under knowing that Mechele is being treated so harshly when they firmly believe in her innocence. I pray Mechele can find a way to cope with the dark and dismal set of circumstances she now finds herself in.

HiNola! Thanks so much for your post! We have considered asking for a transfer for Mechele. However, after researching the other options, ie, Washington State we feel she is best off where she is. We are hoping the appeal process will play out in our favor and she will be home for her next birthday!! Also, we are looking into her rights being violated. Why would you automatically get an additional 10 days in solitary confinement just because you appealed the charge you were written up with? That alone does not seem fair. Believe me, we have contacted the ACLU to get her medical attention and it was very successful. We will not hesitate to contact them again to assure that her treatment is fair and just!

I think the investigation should be focused on the person who I feel is rightfully responsible. After watching them villanized the very gorgous Mechele for 2 hours and attack her character. They went back to ask John if he knew anything about the Desert Eagle used to murder T.T. all of a sudden he knew what had happened. He claims his Desert Eagle was missing prior to the murder than after the murder it was found in the top of his closet. He cleaned it to get his sons prints of the weapon. Of course Mechele had to be there this gorgous woman has to go into a rage. Strange huh?? I do not believe Mechele was in the house I believe John's telling the truth about 1 thing and that is John's sons prints were on the murder weapon. How come the prints were on the murder weapon? Cause John's son killed T.T. in his own lust for the very gorgous Mechele. Mechele never asked anyone to kill anyone but by placing Mechele in the house when the gun was cleaned she was assured to be the mastermind behind the hole event and thusfore this gorgous woman would be locked away in prison and not able to be able to be w/ the people who love her. Than Hilti saying she is deeply evil where does this bs come from. It is strange how John never reported the gun missing never reported a break in, and extremely strange that him and his son lived together Mechele did not live there in the house yet the weapon is gone for a month you do not have it wiegh on your mind that hey this weapon might be used in the commission of a felony and thusfor I would get charged?? Than mysteriously the weapon reappears in John's house in the top of a closet. Mechele I do not know you personally lord knows I wish I did but you have been hosed and your defense team has done an utterly disgusting job of defending your honor and your freedom.

Hey Jay, you have one of many interesting and yet very unexplored ideas in regards to what actually happened. Like you, I don't belive the way the media says it all went down. How it did go down, I don't know. But it is great to have people questioning what has happened here and the blame being put on Mechele.

Jay, interesting theory. It was also Mechele who actually told the police about the "big, black gun!"

I would like to add my Happy Birthday wishes for Mechele. It seems strange to wish someone a happy anything, who is so obviously locked away from her family and friends on such a wrongful conviction. It's never ceases to amaze me how much beauty and just overall attractiveness affects our judgment. For the most part, it makes things so much easier for people, but I believe this is a case where the exact opposite is true. I feel it is because of her attractiveness that she is where she is now and that is a scary thought. My girlfriend is extremely attractive and I see it everyday, the way people just turn to goo around her and will try to please her. It's actually comical at times. Hopefully, the next jury will be able to distinguish the difference between being able to believe that Mechele could get someone to do anything for her, and having evidence that she actually asked someone to murder for her. My girl could probably get someone to kill for her, but that does not mean that she would, even if she has used that same ability to get a few things she wanted in her early 20's. I still have hope in our legal system and hope that I am right in that belief. I am sorry that Mechele is having to endure this time in her life but I have to believe that it will be corrected and she will be going home again. I'd hate to think that if I made some decisions I may regret in my early 20's that I could be convicted of murder, just as my real life was in full swing. I wish her a safe and swift return to that life. God Bless you Mechele and hang in there. Everyone that truly looks at your case has to see what a farce that trial was. I hope that this small show of support will bring at least a bit of joy to you.

Best of luck to you on Mechele's appeal. I just watched the 48 Hours Special on her case and after reading further about the case online, I cannot believe she was convicted of this crime. My prayers are with you.

Sincerely,
