FREE AT LAST!!!

Mechele was released from Hiland late last night. Thanks to everyone who made this possible, especially our two very special angels!! I talked to her about 130AM (CDT) and I don't think the reality of being released had sunk in just yet. I will post more info later, but for now I just wanted to share this precious moment of joy and happiness with all of you!!! BIG Hugs to everyone!!

What a joy your entire family must be feeling right now including Michele. All of your hard work and faith in God has brought you all to this point. As we learn as a child the truth always comes out and it has! This is the beginning of trying to put every one's life back together. My only hope is that they drop this RIDICULOUS case and let Mechele and her family try to return to a normal life. The only way The State of Alaska could convict Michele before was through lies, creating illusions, and persuading the Jury through parallels to a fictional story......I blame the court for allowing this to happen and to allow any Prosecutor to cheat their way through just to win a case. Michele's life will never be the same and neither will her families. My only hope is the State of Alaska can compensate Michele and her family for the permanent damages that they have done!

This story has forever burned itself in my mind, and in my heart. I hope for Mechele that she is able to find peace, stay strong, and breath in that fresh air with her husband and child by her side.

God Bless her and her family...

Mechele, Sandy, Colin & Family:
I am very happy & excieted for all of you. As with everybody else. I hope the state drops this weak case and Mechele can go home to her family where she belongs.

The DA is acting like a spoiled brat who did not get his way and knows he is going to loose. He is just wasting the states money having your family jump through hoops.

Is there going to be a party or is to early?

Great news Mechele!

The good people of Alaska know a lot more about this case now. They also know the first trial was a sham and the conviction was one very very lucky break for the Prosecution.

The problem is justice is not about selling the most alluring and sensational story and hoping a jury will buy it. That should scare every one of us as it could be you or me next. I was keen to visit Alaska, now I'm thinking twice!

Should the case go to trial again, I doubt very much the Prosecution will ever be able to sell a different version of the story to a jury. To do that is to assume jurors are idiots and will believe anything. There is too much out there that says it was a wrongful conviction.

So happy for you Mechele and family.

W-O-W... I pray her child is with her. I am sure Mechele is dazed somewhat! Too bad she cannot come to her house yet but all things in good time.
WHY did they let her out so late at night? So the prosecutors wouldn't have to see it in the news?

PS) I hope we all get to hear exactly how it felt to walk out of those doors.

Brian Watt, you are a good man! I tip my hat to you, for it will be people like you who restores Mechele's faith in humanity. There really are good people in this world who give unconditionally, you are proof of that. Mechele was thrown to the dogs and she had no control over any of it. Her family are ruined financially. But for you she may have rotted in Hiland for a much longer period of time! Her baby gets her mummy back and that is priceless!

Good for now, we still have to see how this case is handled.

Brian Watt, I hope that good comes to you ten thousandfold for what you have done for Mechele! (And may the rest of us be guardian angels where we can be after seeing your example.)

Sandy I am so happy that Mechele is out. I'm sorry that I couldn't help =( I had to pay for My hospital treatments for My cancer and now in remission. I'm just glad that whoever posted the bond for Mechele and I want to Thank the Person 100%. I knew in My heart that Mechele would get out and I prayed about it every night. As long as People pray to God everyday and read there Bibles, miracles can happen. Sandy if You want Me to take You up to Alaska I will. I have an Canadian permit to drive there and go be with Mechele. I Love You All and if You need Me call Me. I will email You My new home number. I'm so proud of Mechele and tickled pink.

I know of Mechele only from various TV programs and I felt she was railroaded. Prosecutors should leave her alone; there is no case.

I don't know if you were guilty of anything, but it seems to me that a trial that focused on movies and character should have focused on the evidence of guilt. If they didn't have the goods, they shouldn't have been allowed to take it to trial. Lastly, we as a society want to believe that the ugly people are bad and the beautiful people are good. You simply were/are beautiful.
