update..again

Well, it seems that after the state's opinion made public by Alaska Daily News re: www.adn.com that they would not object to property bond, they did! How sad! I do so hope that people in Alaska are paying attention to statements made to the press that they are going to do one thing then.....opps., not really!! So, we are back to spending $25,000 of which we will not get back so that a bailbondmen will pocket. Sorry I must be missing something here...but makes no sense to me..would love you guys feedback!

This is consistant with how the persecuters have handeled this whole thing. Everything they have done has one thing in common, BAD FAITH! They know they dont have a case against Mechele, (unless they produce the crystal ball that they must have since they can read peoples minds)! Instead of having some class about it they are choosing to be vindictive! This is a DISGUSTING display of what happens when you put decision making power in the wrong hands. They could offer no justification for what they're doing, other than to tell the truth, that they have it out for Mechele, and if they cant keep her in prison, or even convict her at trial, they can at least ruin her mothers day and make things as hard as possible for her family and little girl. What kind of animals are these??? Is this what we want when we think about our state representatives? Do we want sore losers, who deal in bad faith and vindictiveness? Why aren't they locking up violent and bad people who are truly guilty and need to be in jail? Our government representatives in Alaska choose instead to focus their efforts on ruining an innocent mother and daughter for mothers day weekend. Way to go Alaska! As real murderers and rapists and thieves commit their crimes and ruin peoples lives, lets use the states authority, time and resources to focus on what we can do next to make this soccer mom miserable. I'm glad to see that our tax dollars are being spent wisely. These prosecuters, and their crystal ball that they claim to have which allows them to read peoples minds, are NOT what I would consider reasonable representatives of our government. We're supposed to be better than that! We Americans are supposed to be better than to be vindictive and unreasonable. I wonder, do they even know how bad they are making themselves look? Like I've said before, they're painting themselves into a corner with bad faith. Vindictiveness and bad faith is NOT what our great nation is all about. Mechele is being persecuted by twisted maniacs and I hope that in the end there is justice for Mechele. I'm sure that a jury in a civil action against the state will agree that Mechele is being denied her civil rights by the state and as such, should be rewarded. I'm not an attorney but I do have common sense about what is right and what is wrong, Their time is gonna come. These delusional maniacs that are playing games with peoples lives, in the end, their time is gonna come.

I am so very sorry.

I don't really understand how they think crucifying Mechele is going to help their case, especially since they already LOST the appeal. Is this somehow supposed to help their public image?

I'm sorry this happened to you and Mechele :(

I feel that they are playing tough to save face, because, they will never go all the way to trial again. They will investigate to see if anything might come along that helps their case. If not, its over. This way they don't look scared or defeated. Consider it all to the good. AND REMEMBER a year ago how you felt. Compare that to now. Compare 99 years to 2 more weeks, two more days...
Don't let go of your joy.

That's our state for you. Obviously the corruption is at all levels. What a bunch of jerks and liars the state is, and stupid for even retrying this case. I am appalled at our system, our republican leaders, and the blackballing that goes on here.

That's our state for you. Corrupt republicans. It is a shame that such a beautiful state has such rotten leaders. Why can't they just bow out and let her be. Because they just don't like to lose even if they know someone is innocent. It is all about winning!!

Can you please give us some updates. Now that the State of Alaska's law is written in pencil and not ink, when will she be able to get out.

I know you all will get all of your money back and more when you all sue the State for wrongfully accusing Mechele and destroying her life the last three years.

I am so sorry for what you all are going through. Every call away from her routine that Mechele gets must set her on edge, "May I leave, now? Is this the notification?"

What a sick feeling you must always have. What scares me most is that this could happen to anyone.

Mechele has handled herself with nothing but grace and dignity since this all began. I wish she didn't have to prove her mettle like she is.

Oh-- and for all of you who say, "Way to go, Alaska!" I live here. Are you all saying this to me? I've spoken to my lawmakers. The problem is that most want to be tough on crime, not smart on crime. You should watch their body language when I speak to them. It won't happen until the trend sweeps up to Alaska that we get smart on this.

What more must Mechele endure! I don't know how she manages the cruelty that is perpetrated on her. She must be a strong woman, but the long term affect on her mental health has yet to be known, and this terrifies me for her. Every day I log on in the hope I read she's out. I am disappointed each day so how must Mechele feel!

That's how things seems to work in the great Ol' AK.
I'm glad she is out. has she seen this site yet?
